8v2 - Four Goal Game

Each of the 8 outside players starts with a ball. Their goal is to dribble into the grid and score in any of the four mini-goals while avoiding the 2 central defenders. Once they attempt to score, they exit the grid and return to the outside. All players attack the goals at the same time.
Key Coaching Points:
Keep head up while dribbling to scan for defenders and open goals
Use changes of speed and direction to evade defenders
Make quick decisions about which goal to attack
Use feints, cuts, and shielding to protect the ball
Progressions:
Add Defenders (8v3 or 8v4)
Gradually increase defensive pressure to make decision-making more difficult.
Time Limit
Players have 5–7 seconds to score once they enter. Encourages urgency and quick decision-making.
Pairs Play (4v2, rotating in pairs)
Two attackers enter together and must work as a team to beat the defenders and score. They can pass or dribble, and either player can shoot.
Assigned Goals
Coach calls a goal number (1–4) and players must score in that specific mini-goal. Trains awareness and directional control.
